Ok, so I read the posting regarding sanding the rotor-do I need some type of particular tool to do this? I talked to a guy at an automotive store, and he said, once they start squealing, you need to change the pads AND have the rotor turned. He said, on a bike, they probably just replace the rotor. Is this what I need to do? I have already tried the back adhesive and the brake cleaner, and it sounds like 'hand sanding' wont help the rotor. Help me out, fellow riders!
Also, I noticed a lot of what I think of as 'barnicle' looking blemishes on the fork. How do I get them off? For that matter, what is aluminum, what is not, and what do I need to clean ALL aspects of my bike? Thanks!
